107 women, but he is now looking for more brides after deciding to divorce 10

The elderly religiuos
leader has outlived many of his 185 children and says that his lifestyle is a
"divine calling."
He explained: "I only have 97
wives; I am still going to marry more. I will keep marrrying them for as long I
am alive."
But the polygamist from the city of
Bida in Nigeria's central state of Niger has angered local Islamic authorities,
who are describing his household as a cult.
However, Abubakar calls his
lifestyle a "divine calling" and told local media that his critics
were simply jealous because "they envy what God has done and what He is
still doing for me."
Abubakar added: "What I am
doing is divine. It is an assignment and I will keep doing it till the
end."

He later said: "I just want to
advise those fighting against the number of my wives to stop because such
people are waging war against God, their Creator.
The 92yrs old made headlines some eight
years ago when he was ordered by the same Islamic authorities to divorce 82 of
his wives - at the time he had 86 of them.
According to local reports, he
disobeyed the Sharia court decree, challenging the local Islamic scholars by
saying that there was no punishment stated in the Koran about having more than
four wives.
